
Marc Wiseman is vice president of clean and advanced technology for Ricardo US, and a member of NIREC's Technology Commercialization Advisory Board.
At Ricardo, he has executive responsibility for the firm's clean energy activities in the United States. The scope of his work includes both technical and strategic consulting to companies developing products in wind, solar, fuel cells and other alternative energy systems. His consulting group provides best practices in design for manufacture and assembly. These programs focus on product cost reduction and reliability improvements. Marc has significant experience in the product development process with a focus on enabling products to cross the commercialization divide.
Marc has 12 years of management experience for Ricardo in such areas such as design, CAE, advanced technology and hybrid technology. Additionally, for two years he worked in U.S. utility scale wind farm development, where he led negotiations with turbine vendors, such as GE, and was responsible for developing a portfolio of wind sites with a potential generation capacity of 2000mw.
Marc received a bachelors of science and PhD in mechanical engineering with a focus on thermo-fluids from Nottingham University, United Kingdom.
