With an emphasis on strengthening renewable energy business development in Nevada, the Nevada State Office of Energy (NSOE) has awarded NIREC a contract (RFP 1902) to support the statewide growth of renewable energy industry clusters.
Bringing together Nevada’s existing and would-be renewable energy suppliers, the NIREC team will facilitate partnerships to attract both domestic and international renewable energy companies across the value chain. In addition to the NSOE, the Nevada Commission on Economic Development and the state’s regional economic development organizations are key stakeholders in this effort.
“Nevada has the capacity to fulfill critical renewable energy market needs both within the state and to export to neighboring states,” said NIREC President and CEO Jim Croce. “This project will help unify the statewide effort to rebuild and diversify our economy.”
